I want to thank InkaNatura Travel for hosting us on the most incredible adventure walking the Inca Trail for four days.  We had no idea that this was a private tour with just me and my travel companion. To assist us were Klever, our guide, a chef and five porters.  We had a wonderful time.  Klever's graciousness, ability to monitor our pace, provide interesting details along our journey and overall good spirit made this trip extra special.  Klever shared many stories of his culture, the country, the flora and fauna as well as personal experiences. We enjoyed listening to his details of many Inca ruins that helped us understand the history and development of this advanced society.

Aquilino, our chef prepared the most exquisite meals.  His culinary talent (including his ability to prepare all of it in a rudimentary tent) were beyond compare.  We ate beautifully prepared meals with artistic presentation and flavor.  The five porters, Isidro (head porter), Mariano, Fabian, Eduardo and young Mario were friendly, accommodating and a pleasure to be with.  They hauled all of our equipment on their backs, a most impressive feat.  I relied on my hiking poles looking at each step I took.  They nimbly ran the steep, rugged rocks with ease passing us early each morning.  My most dreaded expectation was using the unsavory restrooms I had read about online.  I was thoroughly pleased that we had our own, clean, private tent. What a blessing, especially for a woman.

Our final destination of Machu Picchu almost paled in comparison to our trek.  While at Machu Picchu, Klever spent a lot of time showing us specific areas of the site, walking us through many special rooms giving us time to take pictures and absorb the wonder of this place.  It was awe inspiring.

Overall, this was trip exceeded my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone who wishes to do this arduous trail.  I'm approaching sixty (my travel companion 70) and while it was a challenge, InkaNatura thoughtfully gave us a team of true professionals who made the trip comfortable while challenging.   A most joyous, inspiring and rewarding experience.  THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL WHO MADE THIS A TRIP OF A LIFETIME.
