Which Machu Picchu hike will you take in 2017?

We, InkaNatura Travel Peru Sales Team hope that you are having a wonderful 2016 and that you are reaching your goals. 

Believe it or not, we're almost at the end of the year - and its time to start thinking about your hiking trip to Machu Picchu for season March 2017 to January  2018.

As you already know there are only 500 spots each day to allow you walk the route the famed Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, but what you may not know is that porters and tour operators staff are also part of the 500 spots, meaning that for a 2 persons group you do not just need your 2 spots but also 9 more spots for the crew. This year the sales began on December 19

Schedule as follows

19 Dec (Mon) - March 2017
20 Dec (Tue)  - April 2017
21 Dec (Wed) - May 2017
22 Dec (Thu)  - June 2017
23 Dec (Fri)     - July 2017
26 Dec (Mon) - August, September, October,
                           November, December 2017
                            and January 2018

Taking into consideration the great interest that tourist have, we strongly suggest that you plan ahead of time - better 4 or 5 months before chosen date - and book the trek that you prefer.

The treks that need the permits are : 

Classic Inca Trail
4 days and 3 nights
3 nights camping

Inca Trail Discovery
5 days and 4 nights
3 nights camping + 1 night at Hotel in Machu Picchu or Aguas Calientes

Inca Trail Platinum
5 days and 4 nights
3 nights camping + 1 night at Hotel in Machu Picchu or Aguas Calientes

Beyond the Inca Trail
7 days and 67 nights
5 nights camping + 1 night at Hotel in Machu Picchu  or Aguas Calientes

There is a small version of the trek that only needs permits for the tourists as no porters are required and the good news is that it has a separate stock of 250 permits

Short Inca Trail
2 days and 1 night
1 night at Hotel in Machu Picchu or Aguas Calientes

Do you know what you need to book the trek???

Yes, you are absolutely right…….. The Spirit of Adventure. Trekking the Inca Trail is "Once in a Lifetime experience". The awesome landscapes, the interesting sites you visit along the way before you reach the impressive Machu Picchu - "The Lost City of the Inca" one of the "New 7 Wonders of Modern World".

And a valid passport….. Yes you need to have your passport in your hands before thinking in making the trek. All permits are issued under your name as it appears on passport and it always better to send scanned copy to the Travel Agent that is handling your reservations by the time you make the booking and pay the deposit. Permits are non refundable and names can not be changed.

Do you know when to book the trek???

The season to do the trek is from March until January of the following year. Spots for January 2015 are aleady open to sales.
Spots for March 2015 until January 2016 begin to be sold on January 2015….. Plenty of time to have everything ready.

Ooooops….. Are you late booking your trek???

You choose the date and spots are already sold out, and you can not change your travelling dates….Do you still want to do some trekking???
